208.2mln AMD Transactions with securities effected on Armenian Stock Exchange in April 2008

In April 2008, 208.2mln AMD transactions with securities were effected on the Armenian Stock Exchange (ARMEX) against 205.3mln AMD transactions in March.

174.5mln AMD transactions with corporate bonds (83.1% of the total volume), 30.5mln AMD transactions with government bonds (14.6%) and 3.3mln AMD transactions with shares (1.6%) were effected.

According to an analysis conducted by the ARKA News Agency on the basis of the ARMEX-provided, transactions with 30,009,943 securities were effected in April against 30,008,686 in March. A total of 9,093 transactions with corporate bonds and 250 transactions with shares were effected. Transactions with 30mln government bonds were effected.

Transactions with shares, government and corporate bonds of six companies were effected in April 2008 against four companies as well as of the RA Ministry of Finance in March 2008.

By April 30, 2008, securities of 16 companies had been listed on ARMEX. ARMEX capitalization had totaled 41.6bln AMD.
