Volume Of Agricultural Production In July Increased By 32.4 % To 96.6 Billion Drams

Volume of agricultural production in July 2011 in current prices amounted to about 96.6 billion drams or 32.4% compared to July 2010, Armenian National Statistic Service informs.
Total volume of produced agricultural products and fisheries in the reporting period increased 32.2% making about 97.1 billion drams compared to the same period of 2010.
Livestock production in July 2011 was about 34.9 billion drams increased by 1.2% compared with July 2010, crop production – 61.7 billion drams increased by 54.2% and fishery – 0.5 billion drams (growth of 6.8%).
During the reporting period the sale of livestock meat and poultry (live weight) increased by 1% compared with the same period of 2010 making 10.6 thousand tons. The largest sale of meat was implemented in Gegharkunik region – 1.7 thousand tons while in Yerevan 0.1 thousand tons of meat was sold.
In July 2011 the volume of milk production increased by 0.8% making 100.6 thousand tons compared with July 2010. The highest indicator of milk production was registered also in Gegharkunik region – 26.9 thousand tons (growth of 2.7%).
Egg production in July 2011 decreased by 03% making 68.1 million. The majority of eggs were produced in Armavir region – 15.6 million (growth of 35.7%).
The volume of fishery and fish-breeding was 259.6 tons (the whole volume was sold) in July 2011 In July compared with June the increased by 6.8% compared with July 2010 the volume of fishery and fish-breeding in Armenia reduced by 9.6%. ($1 – 367.93 drams). –0--
