Armenian GDP grows 2.6% in Jan.-Nov.

Armenian economy expanded by 2.6% in January-November this year as opposed to the same time span in 2009, the country’s National Statistical Service reported.

According to its preliminary figures, released today, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in terms of money totaled 3.1 trillion Drams. It said the GDP dropped 5.4% in November from October. In the first eleven months of 2009 Armenian economy shrank by 16 percent. The government GDP growth projection for this year is 1.2% ($1 – 360.25 Drams).-0-
