Armenian central bank governor off to Germany to discuss status of implementation of kfw loan programs

Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) governor, Arthur Javadian, will attend a regular meeting of the German-Armenian Fund Board being held in Germany’s Frankfurt April 2-5, CBA press office said to ARKA.
It said the meeting will discuss the status of implementation of credit programs financed by the German KfW bank as well as issues pertaining to Armenian-German cooperation in financial sphere. Members of the Armenian delegation will meet also with officials of the German ministry for economic cooperation.
The German KfW bank has been rendering assistance to Armenia in implementing financial cooperation programs since 1995. In 1998, the bank opened its representative office in Armenia.
The bank focuses its activities on energy, water supply, as well as the development of the country’s financial and private sectors. Since 1995 the German Government has committed around 400 million euros to Armenia. -0-
