Armenia’s state budget surplus total 15,772.1mln drams in January – March

Armenia’s state budget surplus totaled 15,772.1mln Drams in January-March – a 3.3% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the RA Statistical Service reports referring to the Ministry of Finance.

The state budget surplus was 9,395.7mln drams, including the funds provided by donor organizations and foreign countries under target programs.

Armenia’s budget receipts totaled 154,737.4mln drams in January-March – a 32.1% of the GDP. On-budget expenditures totaled 138,965.3mln drams in the period under review. If the funds provided by international donor organizations and foreign countries under target programs are taken into account, on-budget expenditures total 145,341.7mln drams (28.8% of the GDP).

The law on the 2008 budget was passed by the country’s National Assembly on November 28 2007 with budget receipts being 746bln drams, expenditures being 822bln drams and deficit being 76bln drams. ($1=307.58drams).
