Capital Markets in Armenia Conference to be Held on February 2718.02.2009, ARKA
The first “Capital Markets in Armenia” conference, organized by Grant Thornton Amyot audit and business advisory company, will be held in Armenia on February 27, said Gurgen Hakobyan, partner of Grant Thornton Amyot.
The initiation was driven by the impact of capital markets on development of the Armenian economy, as well as by the growing interest of businessmen towards public transactions.
Invited Armenian and foreign experts will introduce the perspectives of IPO, tools and procedures of capital market, as well as characteristics of their usage in Armenia.
The conference is supported by the RA Central Bank, the RA Ministry of Economy, the Union of Banks of Armenia, NASDAQ OMX Armenia, the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia and USAID “Financial Sector Deepening Project”.
Within the scope of the conference Armenian and foreign experts will present to the businessmen the perspectives of making Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), the tools and procedures related to capital markets and the peculiarities of their application in the Republic of Armenia. Representatives of public and private sectors, as well as international organizations will participate in the conference.
