Armenia’s domestic trade grows 4.2% to AMD 1779.4 billion in 2010

Armenia’s domestic trade turnover amounted to AMD 1779.4 billion in 2010 (4.2% year-on-year growth), National Statistical Service reports. 

Retail trade amounted to AMD 1159.8 billion and accounted for 65.2% of the trade turnover inside the country in 2010. Retail trade grew 0.6% in 2010, compared with the previous year. 

Wholesale trade amounted to AMD 557.8 billion and made up 31.3% of the total domestic trade turnover. 

According to the statistical report, trade in shops constituted 60.4% of the domestic trade turnover and that in markets totaled 172.1 billion and made up 14.8% of the country’s domestic trade in 2010. ($1 = AMD 364.75).—0-
