Volume of transactions on securities totals 209 million drams on Armenian stock exchange in August

Volume of transactions on securities totaled 209mln Drams on the
Armenian Stock Exchange (Armex) in August against 154.4mln Drams in
July. Total volume of transactions on corporate bonds was 136.7mln
constituting 65.4% of the overall volume of transactions in the period.
Volume of government bond transactions was 71.9mln Drams or 34.4% of the
volume. Transactions on shares totaled 5151,000 constituting 0.3% of
the overall volume. According to the analysis made by ARKA Agency based
on the information of Armex, transactions were effected on shares,
government and corporate bonds of five companies and Armenian Finance
Ministry on Armex in August. “Araratbank” open joint stock company was
the leader in terms of transactions on corporate bonds, whereas
“Armeconombank” ranked the first in transactions on shares. Volume of
transactions on “Araratbank”’s corporate bonds totaled 75.8mln Drams –
55.4% of the overall volume of transactions on corporate bonds on Armex
in August. Volume of transactions on “Armeconombanks”’s shares totaled
450,000 Drams – 87.4% of the overall volume of transactions on shares on
Armex in August. Aggregate volume of transactions on government bonds
totaled 71.9mln over the period. Nineteen securities had undergone
listing on Armex by September 1. Capitalization of Armex totaled 49.8bln
