Having started his career with Grant Thornton in 1999, Gurgen Hakobyan is presently the CEO of Grant Thornton Armenia’s advisory services firm. He is a professional consultant and a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in advising leading private enterprises, international financial institutions and public sector organizations on matters related to management, growth, transactions, risk, and governance.
Gurgen has vast experience in the wider region, where several Grant Thornton members firms in such countries as Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and others established operations with his direct involvement and leadership.
A believer in continuous growth and education, Gurgen has successfully completed Grant Thornton’s two Senior Leadership programmes supported by the Oxford University and Harvard Business School, aimed at leaders in senior strategic positions. Gurgen holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the American University of Armenia. He is also an EMCC Accredited Coach and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
