Azat Manukyan

Experience

Azat started his career at Grant Thornton in 2017 as a Manager in the Financial Institutions Audit Department and at the beginning of 2018 he moved to Advisory Services Division of the company.

He has over 12 years of professional experience in all aspects of financial management, focused on financial and management reporting, business planning and budgeting, financial controlling, performance analysis and management accounting. Azat has an extensive practical experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements based on IFRS requirements, in developing management information reports for decision making and a solid experience in treasury operations and projects management. The main sectors of his experience are banking, telecommunication, IT.

Azat has an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting issued by Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA, UK). He is also a certified trainer from Chartered Management Institute (Award in Strategic Management and Leadership) and conducts corporate and open trainings related to finance and project management, as well tutorials in French language for graduate students in French University in Armenia.

Besides strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards on Auditing, Azat has also a strong knowledge of accounting and reporting programs such as Dynamics 365 by Microsoft, Oracle, Cognos by IBM, Horizon, Magnitude consolidation system, 1C ERP etc.

Throughout his professional career Azat has managed the IFRS 9 consulting and implementation processes in more than 10 banks and credit organizations in Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Armenia, as well as has conducted valuation of shares, management consulting, business plan and feasibility studies.
